The truth is there are probably thousands of things to do in the great city of New Orleans and in Louisiana as a whole, however I only got to a hand-full in one week. I need to go back, but that’s besides the point. I will share with you a few of the things we got up to in New Orleans. To read my initial post on New Orleans and first impressions, click here.
In June, I had an unmissable opportunity to travel to New Orleans, Louisiana (aka NOLA) for just over a week, an opportunity I absolutely could not pass up.
It was sooo worth it. New Orleans is one of those places I had dreamed about because of how much culture it is portrayed to have, it’s role in America’s history, particularly African American History and ofcourse the FOOD. It definitely lived up to expectations in that regard, I put on 5 kilos *weeps*
In today’s post we have Olayemi Otukoya (aka Yemms), let’s have a warm TRP welcome for her. Yemi is a seasoned traveller who speaks 3 languages and I always find myself lusting at her instagram and snapchat feeds for the beautiful places she visits and how she manages to stay fly through it all. Today Yemms will be sharing with us some of her favourite things about holidays including fashion and beauty tips for travel.
Monaco is absolutely gorgeous. I honestly cannot articulate how beautiful a city it is. From the historic buildings to the luxury lifestyle woven into the seams of the city, it is breathtaking.
I need some shares in Expedia, or some travel agency. I’m serious, I can’t help myself with a good holiday and a girl (me) would love some return on her spending because holidays ain’t cheap. That being said, there are ways to make them more affordable, one of them is traveling in shoulder season, like we did on this trip.
Long time no post..It has been a busy few months, but believe me when I say I am still very much here. For more frequent updates on the happenings of Reet Petite please follow reet.petite on Instagram.
Now, before I went to Amsterdam I was skeptical.I had heard lots and lots about this city of drugs, alcohol and sex that some call sin city of Europe. However, I have been there and back and I can wholeheartedly report that whilst Amsterdam IS all those things, it is also much more. There is so much culture and history seeping out of every street corner and the people are ridiculously friendly.
Sometimes I think I was born with the travel bug, so I have a more severe case than those who were merely bitten.I love to travel, however I do not explore nearly as much as I would like to.That is to be changed, and if you stick around you’ll see it all with me.
